In 2019 Troop 110 tended two beehives, which provided pollinators to our neighborhood, while giving educational opportunities, including the harvest of the honey and processing of the wax.
The bees are now resting away for the winter with about 70 pounds of honey per hive to hold them over until spring. While the bees are resting we’re selling the excess honey. Proceeds will be used to fund troop activities, including summer camping trips for the scouts.
We have a limited delivery area in Minneapolis, and either hand delivery orders or they can be picked up at our regular Tuesday scout meetings.
